beautiful little baby "e"

I bought my Canon DSLR a year ago. I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that I am still trying to figure out how to use it. Let me clarify. I know how to use all of the auto settings. (I'm not that blonde!) But, I'm still trying to figure out the gagillion manual settings. To be honest, it's been a little overwhelming. My friend, Jeri, has given me some pointers, and that has helped. So has my sweet friend, Cris. She was kind enough to allow me to take her belly pics when she was expecting with little "E." Great practice with difficult lighting and hues. And, of course, when little "E" was born, I jumped at the chance to take her newborn photos! So, Cris & Bryce, here is a "peek" at a few of the pictures from last Thursday. Thank you for letting me spend time with you and your amazing little "E!" I hope you both like the pictures. Your cd is coming soon, I promise! ;) I can't wait to scrapbook her! =)

technology is NOT my friend...

Why is it that you never realize how intrigal something is to your everyday life until it doesn't work? I had two things that I absolutely had to get done this weekend: 1.) finish my portion of the alumni choir registration packet; and 2.) construct the SAHS A Cappella Choir Reunion website. (Stay tuned for more information on that.) Both of these things required my having the ability to access the internet. Well, for whatever reason, both my computer and my router decided that they wanted to go on Spring Break. I have been without internet access at home since Thursday night. It's driving me bonkers!! I'm hoping that, by some miracle, the problem will have corrected itself by the time I get home tonight. Keep your fingers crossed...

It's here!

Finally! Twilight has been released on DVD. And, yes, I bought it a little after midnight Friday night/Saturday morning. (Thanks for the company, Heather, Tobi, & Michelle!) I'm trying to be good, though. I've only watched it twice so far. ;)

Monitor your bank accounts...

I am normally pretty OCD about monitoring my bank account online. Unfortunately, I'd been a little lax the last couple of weeks. When I checked my account yesterday, I noticed that there had been a $287.01 debit from Sprint last week. The problem? Not the size of the debit but the fact that Sprint is not my local, long distance, or cellular carrier! So... I called my bank - only to be told that I have to come in to fill-out an affidavit disputing the charge. I have no idea how long it will take to get my money back. So, the moral of the story? Monitor your accounts. I have no idea how someone got my account information. It really can happen to anyone. Afterall, I didn't think that it would ever happen to me, either.

4 days and counting...

Can you say "road trip?!" Three awesome friends and I are making the trek to Lansing to see the wonderful Heidi and spend the day (specifically, the birthday) with the beautiful Allison. I'm so excited! Heidi and Allison usually make the trip down here to our neck of the woods. Now, we get to explore all of the sights and sounds of the sprawling metropolis of Lansing, MI. I'm not sure what the game plan is for the weekend, except for taking a trip to ThreadBear, the local yarn "supermarket." I've always wanted to learn to knit, and I think it might finally happen this weekend! =) Yippee!! (hehehe) Call me a dork. I don't care. Well, that's all for now. Post more later! ;)

just a quick note...

This is going to be a relatively quick post, because I have to get back to work soon. So... I wanted to share my wonderful weekend with you. My bff, Heather, had a birthday on Friday. (Happy birthday, Toots!) We spent the afternoon/evening at PIT cropping, getting a free 5-minute massage, eating chocolate, eating more chocolate... Saturday, I taught a class for 14 9-year-old girls during a birthday party at PIT. It was really fun, and the girls all did an excellent job of listening and following directions! I've really enjoyed the 2 parties that I've taught classes for. It's made me wonder if I should have gone the elementary ed route, instead of psychology. Something to consider. Anyway, I spent the rest of Saturday working on my March class examples. That night after PIT closed, I took Jeri & Tobi to the movies for Valentine's Day. Just in case you couldn't already guess, we went to see Twilight for the 3rd, 8th, and 9th times respectively. (It finally made it to the dollar theatre, which is good -- I really needed a fix! ;) Only 31 days until the DVD release!!! Which reminds me, I really need to start cleaning this weekend...blech! >:P Sunday, I was at PIT again, plugging away at those class examples. Finally got them done and e-mailed to our wonderful coordinator Becky. Monday, it was back to PIT to crop with my bud, Keisha. I kinda goofed-off, but I did manage to get my design team assignment done. Tonight, I need to start prepping my class kits for next Monday's card class. Here's hoping that I can get them all done tonight, so I can work on other stuff this weekend! Have a great day!! =)

Hmm...

Well, all of my design team projects are officially completed and up. WooHoo! That's one thing off my list. Now it's back to my Etsy projects! Stay tuned for more updates.

Last night I got 6 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep which, sadly, is amazing for a weeknight. So, why am I feeling so out-of-sorts today? I was just fine until 2 hours ago. Now, I'm feeling easily frustrated and mildly grumpy. Hmm... It looks like it's going to be a long afternoon. :(
